Until the population exchange of 1924, Mustafapaşa was a region inhabited by Orthodox Greeks. Therefore, it boasts nearly 700 stone mansions. The residents of the village at that time were wealthy merchants who traded in wine and medicinal products. After the population exchange, the village’s population was dispersed and sent to Greece, and Turks were settled in their place. Mustafapasa has valuable mansions with exceptional stone craftsmanship. Serving as the Sinasos of that era with artistic architecture, it hosts mansions that are a must-see. According to a legend, the architects of Sinasos were brought from Syria and Mardin. The fact that houses in Mardin and Mustafapaşa have identical architectural features lends credibility to this legend. The striking resemblance between the houses in both regions serves as evidence supporting this claim.

The town is currently under the protection of the Ministry of culture. It was opened to tourism in 1981. Mustafapaşa village has a history of centuries, with around 93 houses and 30 churches within its borders. With its churches, chapels, and magnificent architectural houses, it is an area that must be visited. The structures with historical significance in this area, showcasing the historical texture, should be explored.

 <use href="#safiricon-ok"></use>
Chez Ismail

It is located right at the entrance of Mustafapaşa.
