Ongoing examinations continue to assess the historical structure, which has suffered significant damage and turned into a pile of rubble. It earned the name “Karakale” due to its black color and began to be referred to by this name. One of the most robust parts of the castle is considered to be the southern wall, which has mostly survived and remained undamaged. The use of ceramics is also observed inside the castle, and it is estimated to be a structure dating back to the Young Roman and Byzantine periods. Visitors to Uchisar in Cappadocia will benefit from seeing Karakale, given its dominant black color and its location in a different area, contributing to the understanding of its architecture.

 <use href="#safiricon-ok2"></use>
5- Pigeon Valley

The valley, which has two entrances and is located in Göreme, can also be reached from Uchisar.
