Among the many rock-carved structures in the valley, it stands out with its unique architecture and exceptionally well-preserved frescoes. The name \u201cDark\u201d comes from the fact that very little natural light enters the church\u2014ironically, this lack of light is what helped keep its frescoes vivid for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Hidden deeper inside the Ihlara Valley, the Dark Church is more secluded than other churches in the area.
