Green Tour Start – Pickup from Hotel

The Cappadocia green Itinerary tour begins around 9:00 AM with pick up from your hotel in a luxury, air conditioned vehicle. Accompanied by a professional guide, a planned, safe, and enjoyable program is offered throughout the day.

1. Tour Location: : The Regions Largest Underground City

The first stop on our tour is Derinkuyu underground city, the largest and deepest underground settlement in Cappadocia. Dating back to the Hittite period and actively used during the Roman era, this underground city was a complex defense and living space that once housed thousands of people.
With the guide narration, you will discover step by step how the underground cities were built, what purposes they served, and the living conditions of the period. The ventilation shafts, living areas, churches, kitchens, and security systems will surprise you greatly.

2. Tour Location: Ihlara Valley – Nature Walk

After visiting Derinkuyu, we head to Ihlara valley, one of Cappadocia largest valleys steeped in history. At the valley entrance, we descend approximately 350 steps to reach the magnificent walking trail that stretches along the Melendiz River.

During the approximately 1 hour nature walk, you will enjoy a unique experience accompanied by rock carved churches, natural rock formations, and unique valley views. This walk is one of the most enjoyable parts of the Cappadocia green tour.

3. Tour Location: Belisırma Village – Lunch Break

After the Ihlara Valley hike, you will reach Belisırma Village, located on the banks of the Melendiz River. Here, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant built on the river.
Surrounded by nature and accompanied by the sound of water, the local delicacies served here make for one of the most relaxing moments of the tour.

4. Tour Location: Selime Monastery

After lunch, we head to Selime Monastery, one of the largest rock cut monastery structures in Cappadocia. Carved into a massive rock mass, this structure was used as a center for religious education and life in the past.

Your guide will explain in detail how monastic life was lived here, the daily life of the monks, the education system, and the worship routine.

5. Tour Location: Pigeon Valley

The final stop on our tour is Güvercinlik valley, famous for its unique panoramic views. Here, we take a short walk and a photo break. You can capture the enchanting sights of Cappadocia against the backdrop of the valley natural landscape, pigeon nests, and the view of Uçhisar.

End of Green Tour – Return to Hotel
